NEC Electronics, Renesas to Create No. 3 Chipmaker
NEC Electronics Corp. and Renesas Technology Corp. are poised to merge in April after their parent companies agreed to inject 200 billion yen ($2.2 billion) into what may become the world’s third-largest chipmaker.
