Samsung Helps Austin Rebuff Recession
Samsung Austin is expanding, creating what may be the largest chipmaking plant in North America. The Austin site is Samsung’s only semiconductor manufacturing plant outside South Korea.
Samsung is boosting its employment to 1,600 and increasing its annual payroll to $112 million. This expansion has made a positive impact in the Austin area during this time of recession.
