Freescale Semiconductor Collaborates on 3D Eyewear
Freescale Semiconductor Inc. is developing technology for super 3D television glasses. The chipmaker is collaborating with 3D technologies licensor RealD Inc. on the new home theater eyewear. The jointly-developed product will use Freescale’s MC1323x System on a Chip and RealD’s filtering and optical technology. The glasses synchronize three dimensional television over the air without using traditional infrared technology, which can have line-of-site and field-of-vision limitations.
